Roland Abante, also known as “Bunot”, a fisherman, construction worker and a stage performer in some hotel and bars in Cebu became popular because of his viral video footage where he sings Michael Bolton’s top song, “To Love somebody”. He was invited to perform at Gandang gabi Vice last Sunday, November 30, 2014 to sing the song where he became known.
In the show, he met his idol, Gary Valenciano who’s a fan of him too. He was granted to have a duet with the mr.Energy with his song, “Kailangan kita” and he received the latest album released by Gary.
“At first, di ko talaga narinig ang video mo, nireto lang sakin ni Vhong na isearch ko daw bunot na mala Michael Bolton kumanta, tapos later on, Billy posted the video in the instagram kaya nung nakita ko, agad kong pinatawag ang staff ko para hanapin ka.” Said by Vice at his show that night.
“Tinawagan na yung manager ko at mag-uusap padaw sila ng isa sa staff ng Ellen Degeneres eh” the statement he said which made the audience shocked.
The guesting at Ellen Degeneres is still in process and waiting for the exact date to be released, this one, is another achievement of the Filipino which made them bright in terms of talents.
